Exapaq moves from its Lieusaint Exacentre
Historically associated to the Exatri (hub) 177, last 27 March, the Exacentre (depot) of Lieusaint (Seine et Marne) moved to Montévrain, which lies further north in the same département.
Historically associated to the Exatri (hub) 177, the Exacentre of Lieusaint (Seine et Marne) which had become too small to handle volumes at the level of quality and work environment standards required by Exapaq, last 27 March moved to Montévrain, further north in the same département.
Even though a temporary reduction of the bottleneck had been achieved in 2003 through the establishment of Exapaq Bondoufle 091, volumes quickly became far too great to be processed by the Exacentre 077 in its current configuration (21 doors to pier for 30 drivers).
The depot therefore moved to Montévrain in order to position itself in the centre of Marne la Vallée, which is the key trading platform in this département, and thus operate in larger facilities providing a high quality working environment for the company’s staff.
The new depot is scheduled to start with over 40 daily delivery rounds for some 10,000 parcels processed daily during the initial stage.
Exapaq is therefore engaged in an active investment strategy aimed at improving the working conditions of its employees as well as the processes applied to deliver the parcels placed in its care by its customers.
The Montévrain investment is part of the Exapaq network restructuring policy designed to maintain the high level of quality of the network which the customers, as consignors, require to ensure that their trading relations with their recipients will continue, particularly in those days of economic downturn.
